Due to its chimeric nature Infliximab is a highly immunogenic drug. Unfortunately an immune response in the patient against Infliximab can dramatically reduce the efficacy of treatment. Proteomika has developed and validated highly specific assays to monitor the level of Infliximab in the circulation as well as detecting antibodies that neutralize Infliximab thus reducing the efficacy of treatment. The analysis of bioavailability and immunogenicity of Infliximab provides an insight into the response of individual patients and helps predict the ongoing response to treatment. |
